Pregnancy and birth are rites of passage in a person’s life, that prepare us for the challenges and gifts of becoming a parent. Prenatal yoga offers a Sacred Space for pregnant individuals to listen to and trust their body, attune to their intuition, and to shed conditioned thoughts surrounding pregnancy and birth. This helps to foster deeper connections to the growing baby. Prenatal yoga invites individuals to heal, thrive, and evolve within their pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.

Yoga teachers, birth professionals, or any person wanting to learn more about this amazing time in a person’s life are welcome to join this training.

In this course you will learn:

  • Safe and empowering postures for each trimesters of pregnancy, and postpartum

  • Breathing techniques designed to reduce stress, and utilize throughout pregnancy and labour

  • The amazing anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, birth/labour, and postpartum

  • Ayurveda for pregnancy and postpartum

  • How to create an inclusive and sacred space for pregnant individuals to connect and explore their unique experiences with pregnancy and postpartum

  • The power of mantra and sound during the perinatal period

  • Sequencing for prenatal and postnatal classes

  • An overall feeling of confidence in the ability to teach perinatal yoga classes and workshops

Additional class observations, assignments, and practicum hours are required for certification with Yoga Alliance. Participants will only receive a certificate when all the course requirements are met.

Understanding anatomy from form and function within our yoga practice keeps us free from injury and flowing with grace for the long term. This helps us optimize the benefits of a yoga practice every time we step onto the mat.


Explore holistic yoga alignment and how it works within the physical and subtle bodies as an intergrated, unified system in this 25 hour training.

What you’ll learn:

  • The Art of Asana: flow, form and function

  • How breath revolutionizes alignment, and affects our organs and myofascia

  • Functional core: Exploring the pelvic floor, core, and bandhas

  • Anaatomy of fascia and connective tissue

  • Different modifications, asana, and prep postures to assist various body types and abilities in yoga asana.

This module is open to all teachers, movement professionals, committed students, or anyone wanting to deepen their knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

This Training counts as 25 hours towards Yoga Alliance Continuing Education. It is also a core module of the 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Prana Yoga Studio.
